KLAREN Heat Exchange Technology
for Self-Cleaning Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers.

Applies circulation of solid particles through the tubes to remove
fouling deposits from the tube wall.

Properties

  1. Unique self-cleaning potential for extremely severe fouling applications.
  2. Retrofit of existing conventional exchangers into a configuration which applies the KLAREN self-cleaning heat exchange technology on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  3. Compact self-cleaning heat exchange design by using small diameter tubes. As far as heat transfer performance is involved, these exchangers are competitive with the traditional plate and frame exchangers, however, with the advantage that these compact KLAREN exchangers remain clean. And then there is the advantage that these KLAREN exchangers do not apply gaskets and, therefore, are also suitable for very high pressures and temperatures.
  4. KLAREN exchangers can also be designed for severely fouling services where evaporation takes place in the tubes.
  5. Any type of fouling deposits, whether hard or soft, biological or chemical, fibrous or protein, or any organic type, or a combination of the above, can be effectively handled by the KLAREN heat exchange technology, and in comparison with conventional heat exchangers the heat transfer surfaces of the KLAREN exchangers can be maintained clean for long operating periods or even indefinitely.
